Dharma Yoga Immersion A Complete Practice
Dharma Yoga is a graceful and challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s fifty years of classical yoga.
This immersion honours Sri Dharma Mittra by sharing some of his favourite techniques.
We will slowly and methodically go into challenging poses by following sequences prepared with variations, different peaks and degrees of challenge.
Yama and Niyama are central to the practice that focuses on clearing the mind, strengthening the body, softening the heart and being compassionate towards all beings.
This immersion will consist of the following
• Pranayama & short meditation (30 minutes)
Practice pranayama techniques important in the Dharma Yoga Lineage and So-Hum meditation
• Maha Shakti (1 hr 20 min)
This practice helps the students to advance their asana practice. It’s a well-rounded class that supports the health of the whole body with balancing poses, backbends, twists, forward folds and inverted variations.
• Dharma Yoga Wheel (2hrs)
Make advanced asanas accessible by using the wheel. The Dharma Yoga Wheel challenges your balance, deepens your forward folds and twists, exercises the core and opens the back, chest and shoulders and is a key element in practising inversions
• Satsang Kirtan (30 minutes)
Sing and rejoice with Bhakti yoga, the art of devotion
• Yoga Nidra (40 mins)
Relaxation is the best antidote for impurities. Allow deep nourishment to take place in this active meditation as taught in the Dharma Lineage. Feel revitalised and re-energized.
