Mind, Body & Spirit Cyprus
info
Ten years ago Francesca Pinoni and Annete Martensen began The Mind, Body & Spirit Exhibition in Cyprus to bring together people working in the field of holistic health therapies and self-development. In 2011 Rita Berdanis and Sara Hollinrake joined with Francesca to form Mind, Body & Spirit Cyprus, all are looking forward to producing some amazing Mind, Body and Spirit Exhibitions in Cyprus.
Margarita (Rita) Berdanis (centre) was born and raised in Johannesburg., South Africa She is married with three lovely children. She worked in a bank for 7 very long years, and then joined her husband in the restaurant business. They share a love for cooking! She opened her own coffee shop, The Atrium, which was very successful before moving to Cyprus 10 years ago, which was a big transition on her life.
When she began her studies on Feng Shui at Master Larry Sang's, American Institute of Feng Shui, her curiosity about energy and the effect of our environment on us grew, and is still growing. It helped open the door to her self-development. She credits many exhibitors and speakers at the MBS Exhibitions with helping her along her path.
Rita’s interests include Feng Shui, yoga, self-development workshops (especially shamanic), helping children, especially teens overcome problems and fears. She LOVES our youth! Recently, she become a volunteer of The Turtle Watch and is working to saving our oceans e.g 4 years for the fish campaign. Rita enjoys cooking, making mosaics and drumming when she has the time, and loves music and dance.
Her vision for future is to create balance on our planet. “When we have balance in our lives, we have everything, we have our health, clarity, peace, harmony, happiness, compassion, abundance. I am looking forward to making new friends and continuing the great work that Francesca and Anette have done over the years.”

Francesca Pinoni (right) comes from Northern California. After completing her BA in Theatre Arts from the university of California at Santa Cruz, she lived in London for several years, then met and married a lovely man from Cyprus and moved here in 1981 where he son was born. She owned and ran Splash!, gift shops full of pretty things until her second marriage to Dr. Igor Cetojevic, from the former Yugoslavia. Francesca was active in amateur dramatics, designing costumes for Shakespeare productions at the ancient theatre at Curium.
In 2002, she and Anette Martinsen started the bi-annual Mind, Body & Spirit Exhibitions; bringing together people in holistic health and self-development fields and to educate the public about the advantages of preventative therapies.
Francesca has published a novel for young women called “To the Rhythm of the Moon” and, together with Igor, a non-fiction book - "Your Health; It’s a Question of Balance” (both are now available as e-books on Amazon.com). She has studied various natural healing modalities including Reiki (Usui & Karuka Master), magnetotherapy, and biofeedback/bioresonance and Puruvian Shamanism. Her hobbies include dancing, music (Frame drum & djembe), art ( painting, pastel & mosaics), poetry and travelling.
“We all want peace in the world. Peace in the world starts with peace in our own hearts. When we are happy and at peace, the feeling spreads to our family, our friends and all the people we interact with – moving out into the world like a ripple on a lake.”

Sara Hollinrake (left) was born and raised in the UK. She lived in Italy and France for a number of years (with a very brief return to the UK) before moving to Cyprus in 2004 where she was fortunate to meet a wonderful man, who is now her husband. She’s had a varied professional life and during the last few years has become involved with animal welfare in Cyprus.
Environmental and animal welfare issues are close to her heart and she is involved in local and international organisations and campaigns.
About 10 years ago, Sara became interested in Naturapathy after suffering from severe seasonal allergies. After reading an article in a magazine about homeopathic medicine, she has never looked back. She has met many like-minded friends in Cyprus and feels very fortunate to be here amongst such good people.
She is currently working on her 2nd year of a BSc in Natural Science with the Open University in the UK. She feels happiest relaxing with a good book while surrounded by her dogs.
“Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to.”—Alfred A. Montapert
